Long Overdue Update

I know it's been a while. You are probably asking yourselves, "Did Celeste fall off the earth?" I am here to say no! I have been very busy with work, school, and children.

First, I will start with work. Work has been good. We have a very good class this year. Yes, they do have the normal 3 year old tendencies and attitudes, but overall, they are great!

School is going well! I made a 96 on my first test in Geography 104! woohooo! The class is very interesting. We use a book that is interesting to read and easy to understand. I am also taking History 150. I'm not sure about my first test in there. The prof is still grading the tests.

Landon starting pulling up on things and is well on his way to being an early walker. He is a very active baby! He loves to play especially with his big brother.

Logan has finally started talking like a young 2 year old. He is doing very well in speech. Logan has even been using the potty for me. He uses the potty regularly in the morning right when he wakes up, after nap, and before he takes his bath at night. He does still use his diaper/pull-up to though. He is becoming such a big boy! He loves cars!

Logan and Landon now share a bedroom. We turned the nursery into a playroom. The kids love their new playroom.

Back to School

I am taking two classes this semester starting on Wednesday and I start back with kids at work on the 24th. I don't know when I will ever have a free moment! ha ha

Hopefully, I can get back in the groove of school and finish my degree! It's way overdue!

Logan and Landon have been in daycare/preschool for 2 weeks now. Logan came home two days in a row with bite marks on his arm. One of them is still visalble 3 days later. So, they finally separated him and the child who beats him up. I'm not happy about the bites, but I am so glad that it's not my Logan doing the biting. He seems to be enjoying daycare now that he is not some one's chew toy. He is very well-behaved, so they tell me! Landon really seems to like his class too.

Logan has started identifying shapes and he also sees a speech therapist once a week. He is really starting to talk well now! He can identify a square, ball (circle), oval, and a star (which is his favorite shape!) He loves to jump and run! And he pedaled his tricycle down our driveway yesterday! He already seems so much older since he turned two!

Landon gets up on his hands and knees now. He has been scooting around for 2 weeks now, but I think he will be crawling on his hands and knees soon! He sits up by himself for a short period of time. He loves to jump in the jump-a-roo!

His favorite thing, though, is watching Logan play! Logan can make Landon laugh when no one else can! Landon will be 7 months old next week! Landon loves and looks up to his brother sooo much!

I want to post a picture of both boys together, but I can't get Logan to sit still long enough to take one!

New Playset!

Logan got his birthday/christmas present! Richard and my cousin, Bryce, did most of the work while I supervised! :-) I did do some of the work though!

Back to work...

Well, this weekend is my last weekend of school-free freedom! I go back to work on Monday. That means my little ones start daycare on Monday. I'm glad I was able to keep Landon out of daycare for 6 1/2 months! Hopefully, he won't get as sick as Logan did in daycare. I think Logan will be glad to get back into a routine with school. He has been bored at home with his mommy and brother. Logan also starts speech next week!

Landon has cut two teeth and he is army crawling now. Only a month later than Logan did these things. He still doesn't sit up by himself very well. He has a lot of weight to hold up at 18.2 lbs (and growing!)

Logan weighed in at 29 lbs for his 2 year check.

Finally, an update and a video!!

I finally got a video of Logan singing!! His voice is low. You have to listen carefully.

Logan is finally starting to talk! I had his hearing tested and both ears were normal! He still has both tubes in his ears! He is getting tested by Early Steps tomorrow to see if he is at the right level with speech. Logan's 2nd birthday is on July 9th!!

Landon is 5 months old already! He is currently cutting his first tooth! You can feel the bump on his gums and see the little white tooth poking under the gum. Landon is quite the big boy! He has been in 6 - 9 months clothes for a month and a half! He loves his jump-a-roo and has started jumping in it instead of just sitting there. Usually after a long jumping session, I will find him asleep in the jump-a-roo! He is so precious. Logan used to do exactly the same thing!

We went to a friends wedding yesterday and Logan really took to the dance floor! Check out this video of Logan dancing!

Sweet Logan

Logan did the cutest thing a couple of days ago! I fixed a bottle for Landon and put it on the table. I realized Landon needed a new diaper before he ate, so I took him to the nursery to change him. Landon was crying pretty loudly. So, Logan brought the bottle to me and said, "Here you go!" I guess Logan was trying to be sweet and helpful or he's made the connection that the bottle makes Landon quiet!

Landon is 3 months old today! He is still quite the chunky monkey! He is sleeping peacefully beside me as I type! He sleeps so much better than Logan did at this age.

Easter Egg Hunt and Petting Zoos!

Logan loved painting easter eggs this year. It was the first Easter he could really participate in the festivities!

Logan went to his first easter egg hunt this year! My big boy did better than I thought collecting the eggs! His favorite one was the shark egg. He did not want to put that egg down!

Landon just took the whole day in style in our new double stroller!!

There was also a petting zoo at the Easter Egg hunt! Logan loved all the animals. He could not get enough of the petting and holding the chicks and ducks. Imagine that, my almost two year old son already picking up "chicks".... They grow up way to fast! Another animal Logan loved was the minature horse (and no that does not mean I am getting him a horse..ever!)

I almost forgot!

Logan has been using the potty before he takes his bath at night! I'm not pushing the issue, but he is starting to show more interest in potty training. So, this is a good enough start for right now! I don't think he is quite ready for the hard core potty training yet.

Musical Logan

Logan knows how to sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star! He sings all the pitches correctly. It's amazing! Is it normal for a one year old to match pitch? I am beginning to wonder if he has perfect pitch. I wish I had a video of him singing, but he won't sing for the camera.

He is really starting to talk now too. This morning as we were leaving he said, "I go!" Of course, his favorite words are still "No, No, NO!" or "What's that?".

I can't believe he will be 2 in four months. He's grown up so much over the last 3 months.

Landon is 2 months old!

Landon got his first set of shots this week. He was very brave and hardly cried.

He is already 13lbs 3 oz and 23 1/2 inches long. That puts him in the 75th percentile in height and weight. He's a chunky monkey!

Long over due update!

Well, where do I start? A lot has changed since my last update!

We finally moved into our new house on last week! The move didn't phase Landon to much, but Logan's had some trouble adjusting at first. He is doing much better this week though. The new house is great! I will eventually post some pictures when I get everything unpacked.

I also started a new job on Monday. This is only a 10 month job, with 4 training days during the summer. This will work out great for the kids and Richard's schedule because we will both have the summers off now!

Landon will be 2 months old next week! Already!! He lifts his head well and smiles big at his mommy! He is a chunky monkey just like his brother, Logan!
