Update on Logan

Two weeks ago I noticed Logan's right eye had started turning inward. I took him to his doctor and he recommended Logan see a specialist.

The pediatric eye doctor told us that Logan was extremely farsighted and that's why his eye was turning inward. So, he prescribed Logan a pair of glasses. He also said there is a good chance Logan will outgrow this problem.

The glasses have already made a big difference!

Doesn't he look cute with his glasses?

Rants!

Today, I went to walmart to pick up a few things! While I was walking around the store, I quickly realized that the background music was CHRISTMAS music!! It's only the 1st of November!! Waaaaaaaaay to early for Christmas music. Oh well.... Walmart put out the christmas decorations months ago. I have nothing against Christmas or christmas music... but 2 months of hearing the exact same songs playing constantly is kind of too much!

Sorry! That's my rant for the year!

Halloween!

For Halloween, we went over to cousin Chase's and Cole's house to Trick-or-Treat!

Logan loved Cole's Thomas candy bucket!

Chase the ninja, Cole the dinosaur, and Logan the puppy!

A Trip Back in Time

Babies grow up way to fast! It's amazing how much Logan has learned and achieved in his first 15 months of life. Look at how small my little man was!!

I can't wait to meet my next little boy in January! I keep wondering everyday if he will take after Richard more and have dark hair instead of my hair color or if he will look just like Logan! Being pregnant this time is just as exciting as it was the first time!

Mr. Grumps

Logan has been extremely grumpy since last Wednesday. On Wednesday night, I thought he might be coming down with something and sure enough he was. Thursday morning after we dropped Richard off at school, He decided to throw up all over himself, his car seat, and the car. It was a lovely experience since I can't stand the sight or smell of vomit in the air right now. Later that night, he developed fever to go along with his grumpiness. All the doctor told me was give him Motrin and Tylenol to keep the fever down. We fought the fever for 3 days before it broke Saturday night. Plus, just to make the weekend filled with more grumpiness, he cut his two bottom molars! Logan is definitely Mr. Grumps when he doesn't feel good or sleep good.

Sick and teething definitely do not mix!

On the other hand, Richard has proved to be quite the handy man lately. He replaced the light fixtures by our front door and didn't blow anything up or electrocute himself. :-)

Pumpkin Patch

The whole family drove up to Folsom, LA to Red Bluff Farms on October 11 to attend a very country pumpkin patch! It was fun to watch Logan pet the baby animals. He loved the little chick. He was scared of the horse-drawn hay ride. I've found one more thing my little man is afraid of other than the ocean!

Here are some pics of our trip!

Pics of our House after Gustav

Our house after Hurricane Gustav.

Close up of the column that fell and broken lights.

Where the column should have been and some bent siding.

Our back yard. The shed lost both doors. One was found in the front of the house across the street. The other is behind the shed. Our back fence is leaning and the fence between our neighbors yard is gone in some sections.

Overall, there is nothing damaged that can't be fixed. We were really lucky down here in South Louisiana.

Gustav

Logan and I evacuated for Hurricane Gustav on Thursday, Aug. 28. It's a good thing we did because traffic was terrible the next few days. Pregnancy and long car rides do not mix. Neither do small high energy boys and long car rides.

Richard stayed behind and boarded up our house and then evacuated with his parents on Sat to MS also.

On Monday, September 1st, I ended up in the emergency room because of awful pain in my back. The first hospital I went to in Meridian thought it might be a kidney stone but the ultrasounds did not find anything. So, I went back to my parents house with painkillers and suffered through the night.

The next morning my dad had called a few members of his church and got me an appointment with an OB in Meridian. So, we drive back over to Meridian, which is about 30 miles from my parents house. I wait in the OB office for what seems like forever and they do more ultrasounds and I see the OB doctor. She admits me to a different hospital than I went to the day before to have an IVP done. They do the IVP and find out it is a kidney stone and I'm put on antibiotics and more pain medicines. On Wednesday, I talk to a Urologist, who thinks the stone has passed and he says I can leave as soon as the OB discharges me. We waited forever for her to come and see me. I finally got to leave around 8:00 pm Wednesday night.

So, I feel better, but this pregnancy has been terrible so far. I've been sick, achey, stoney, and just Bleh!! Little Landon David is definitely worth it but I wish I would just feel good again.

Through it all, our house survived the storm and that definitely is a great thing! We should be going home Monday, Sept. 8th or Tuesday, Sept. 9th! Maybe everything will be back to normal! And I pray Hurricane Ike does not come our way!! I don't want to deal with evacuating again.

On a good note, Logan did get to spend lots of time with my parents!

Ok, so I haven't posted in a while! Sorry! :-)

I went to the doctor yesterday and found out Logan is going to have a little brother (of course)! The new baby also measured a week ahead of his due date, so I'm expecting another chunky monkey!! His name will be Landon David!

Here are some new pics of Logan being himself!
